Meet Larry Mead
Larry Mead
Vice President & Managing Director – Financial Services and Insurance
Co-founder and Vice President of Guidon Performance Solutions, Larry Mead has over 15 years of global experience leading product, process, and technology development and improvement initiatives within financial service and manufacturing organizations. Larry is the Managing Director for Guidon’s Financial Services and Insurance practice.
Prior to founding Guidon, Larry was the Managing Director of an internal consulting group with JP Morgan Chase. Larry was responsible for the overall consulting group execution, and personally led engagements involving Performance Management transformations, Lean Sigma process improvement, capacity planning, and new service development. During his 3-year tenure, the consulting group assisted JP Morgan Chase clients with achieving over $20MM in expense reductions and incremental revenue.
Before joining JP Morgan Chase, Larry was a Technology Manager for General Electric in both the US and Mexico. He led consumer product, process, and equipment development teams. Larry gained expertise in General Electric’s cultural transformation, performance management, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies to engage and align all levels of the organization for successful business execution.
Larry has a Masters of Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University. Larry is also a graduate of the General Electric Technology Leadership Program and a certified Black Belt. He resides in Columbus, Ohio, with his wife of 17 years and two children.
