Guidon Announces New Managing Director
PHOENIX, AZ – October 27, 2011
Guidon Performance Solutions, a global business performance improvement consulting firm, announced today the hiring of Julia M. Eckstein as Managing Director. She will become a key member of Guidon’s executive team as well as be a key leader in Guidon’s Healthcare and Government Practices. Eckstein brings over 25 years of public, private and non-profit health, healthcare and health policy experience.
Former VP and State Policy Director of the Washington D.C. based Center for Health Transformation (CHT), Eckstein brings expertise in developing and driving transformational change within diverse healthcare organizations and communities.
Prior to joining the Center, Eckstein served in the cabinet of Governor Matt Blunt as Director of the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, where she was Missouri’s State Health Officer, was appointed Chair of the Governor’s Missouri Healthcare Information Technology Task Force, served on the legislative Medicaid Reform Commission and was a key member of a subgroup that worked to develop a complete redesign of Missouri’s Medicaid program.
Eckstein’s professional accomplishments range from experience in Behavioral Medicine, Physical Rehabilitation and other clinical areas to leadership positions in healthcare, economic development and marketing.
Eckestin holds an MBA from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis and a BS from the University of Missouri in Columbia.
